About Cheryl

Cheryl is a Contemporary folk artist who studied classical guitar at The Nutmeg Music Conservatory with Music Professor George Hadjimarkou from CYPRUS. She also studied at The Hartt School Community Division, a performing arts conservatory for music located in West Hartford, CT USA. Her original music can be heard on WAPJ 105.1FM, 89.9FM,WERU 89.9FM radio.

She has attended guitar Master classes with Italian composer Peppino D’Agostino, American blues musician Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Emmy nominated David Hamburger, Grammy Award winning songwriter Robert Lee Castleman composer for Chet Atkins, Alan Jackson, and Alison Krauss, Taylor Swift’s former Manager Rick Barker for TV and film, Fred Kewley former manager for Harry Chapin and Chet Atkins. She is also a former member of The CT Classical Guitar Society.

Credits – Music credits include “Finish Line” dedicated to 2006 Kentucky Derby Thoroughbred racehorse winner “Barbaro”, “Beautiful Journey” dedicated to the US Olympic Committee, “Flowers Bloom in May” dedicated to CathĂ©drale Notre Dame de Paris & Sieur de Monts Spring, “Pollinate” composed in The Hundred Acre Wood, dedicated to The Great American Outdoors Act with proceeds to benefit tree conservation in Northern Maine, Prometheus’ Fire 2010 World Premiere Composition recorded on Cypriot Record titled “Synopsi” produced by George Hadjimarkou, and “Yellow Wings” arranged for a full orchestra/movie soundtrack by American Composer Thomas Schuttenhelm.
